Our client is a leading MOD technology contractor involved in some of the most exciting projects across the UK.

This is a superb and exciting opportunity to become an active and influential part of an extensive and experienced team, providing electrical design expertise to various civil and military aircraft modifications.

You will be responsible for the delivery of quality, safe, avionic electrical system designs to time and budget. Designing safe, compliant, fit for purpose, avionic electrical systems for both military and civil platforms, owning designs from concept to completion.

You will oversee delivery of electrical designs, ensuring that all applicable customer and regulatory requirements are met. Generate estimates for new projects, based on aircraft design surveys that you lead, as well as creating system architectures, avionic electrical design data and integration wiring diagrams from a developed understanding of customer requirements.

You will also identify testing requirements to support system certification, as well as actively supporting installations / trial teams on aircraft, working through any post design issues and creating any supporting documentation that might be required. As a senior member of the team, you will also act as a role model and mentor to colleagues with less experience.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Extensive Electrical Design experience within the Air domain.
• Qualified to degree level.
• Hold or be eligible to gain UK security clearance.
• Military aerospace experience advantageous.
• Solidworks CAD Software
