Job Description

Our client is a leading Facilities Management support provider with a 35-year contract to maintain various commercial/industrial MOD assets in Wiltshire & Hampshire.

Your main responsibility as Fire Surveyor is to evaluate the condition of active and passive building fire installations across the estate, to ensure life safety compliance and inform the long-term lifecycle plan.

You will have proven experience carrying out condition surveys and be able to interpret both mechanical and building drawings and produce written business reports in a timely manner.

Although this role will be based out of Tidworth, you will be required to carry out survey work across the estate in line with the PPM schedule, including working at height and potential confined spaces.

This also includes but is not limited to; identifying all improvement/rectification works required, evaluating building and active fire systems condition from a variety of sources of information, and analysing performance trends and identifying risk.

You will also liaise with team members, assisting in prioritising team workload, and ensure closure of jobs as appropriate and all completed paperwork is documented and passed to the relevant department.

This means you should be able to communicate clearly and work effectively with others, maintaining constructive relationships within the team, across the business and externally. You should also be customer focused and able to deliver high-quality service that meets or exceeds expectations, maintain an appropriate level of quality, following relevant procedures and work instructions and embrace continuous improvement undertaking appropriate learning and development.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experienced Surveyor with relevant qualifications.
  • IT literate, Microsoft packages and handheld Apps.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proven experienced in Fire Safety Conditions Surveys.
  • Membership of a recognised fire related professional body (Desirable).
