Vacancy: BMS Controls Engineer

Location: Tidworth, Wiltshire

Our client is an award-winning facilities management organisation, providing best in class Hard FM support to several large and diverse government establishments in Wiltshire and Hampshire.

As BMS Controls Engineer you will be part of a professional estates technical department located in Tidworth, Wiltshire. Providing proactive support regarding BMS software and alarm systems.

• Manage incoming BMS alarms and provide a prompt response to resolve.
• Support Helpdesk with calls relating to BMS controlled systems.
• Support Engineers remotely and in the field to close out alarms.
• Interrogate the BMS programming to identify fixes and opportunities.
• Provide technical information to support the maintenance and project teams.
• Actively identifying improvements in order to reduce BMS-related plant and system failures.
• Provide regular status reporting for alarm management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BTEC Level 3 or equivalent qualification in electrical or electronic engineering or appropriate job-related experience.
• Operation of BMS software, including Trend and StruxureWare.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems.
• Understanding of LAN, WAN, Ethernet and Virtual Private Networks.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus.
• Schneider Building Advisor analytics tool.
• Reduction of system alarms, lockouts, overrides, disables, off-lines, by accurate calibration and adjustment of field sensors, switches etc.
• Ability to analyse data and develop/build/present Case Studies – aimed at demonstrating business improvements and/or support to Business Development opportunities.
• Schneider EcoXpert BMS (desirable)
