We have a unique opportunity to join our clients UK Intelligence teams as an IT Domain Systems Engineer. Due to the security requirements of the role candidates will need to be able to commute to site in Farnborough when required along with hybrid working arrangements.

Our clients Cyber, Analysis and Mission Solutions (CAMS) discipline provides Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) Domain Subject Matter Expert System Engineers, ISTAR System Architects and ISTAR Scientists into company projects to deliver capability into Defence, Government and Industry both as Customer Friend (Advice Side) and Delivery Side agents.

The CAMS ISTAR Group currently supports a number of major projects and campaigns such as the Engineering Delivery Partnership (EDP), Defence Intelligence Rapid Innovation Capability (DI RIC), Maritime Warfare Operational Support Team (MWOST), Air Command, Maritime Warfare Centre (MWC), Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Centre (JEWOSC), Battlefield CIS (BATCIS), PICASSO Systems Integration Team (PSIT), Watchkeeper Army UAS, OSINT Innovation Partnership and many more both in the UK and internationally.

What will I be doing?

As the IT Domain Systems Engineer you will be responsible for managing the delivery, maintenance and upgrade of military data management systems that collate, manipulate and distribute data. Information is derived from a number of sources and is distributed via several interconnected systems to end users (air, sea and land operations, both deployed and steady state) via a cross-domain solution. It is used to gain an understanding of the environment as part of their shared situational awareness.

Key Activities

  • Lead or be part of a technical team, devising and delivering solutions using sound technical, management, leadership and professional skills.
  • Provide agile technical management coordination across the project and contribute relevant technical input to all requirements, design and review sessions.
  • Definition and delivery of technical work plans, systems requirements, resources and tasks, working with the programme manager on schedule, budget, risks, dependencies and constraints.
  • Embed systems engineering methodology and best practise in programme technical delivery.

What do I need?

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Application of Systems Engineering approach through technical delivery lifecycle.
  • Design, development and verification/validation knowledge of secure IT systems.
  • Be a single UK passport holder with DV clearances or be prepared to go through Government Vetting
