The Defence Infrastructure Organisation this morning announced the award of £1.1bn worth of deals.

This included its national housing prime and Scotland and Northern Ireland prime contracts, which were secured by the joint venture partners.

An Interserve subsidiary, Landmarc Support Services, also picked up a big win for the national training estate prime deal worth £322m.

Both the training estate and Scotland and Northern Ireland primes are due to be in service by November 2014.

The national housing prime will be implemented through a phased mobilisation programme by December 2014.

Contract awards

  • National Housing Prime contract, valued at £626m to CarillionAmey (Housing Prime)
  • National Training Estate Prime contract, valued at £322m to Landmarc Support Services
  • Scotlandand Northern Ireland Prime contract valued at £152m to CarillionAmey.

The three contracts have been awarded on a five-year year basis with the option to extend up to an extra five years.

The contracts provide planned and reactive maintenance including grounds maintenance. The scope also includes additional professional services, low value capital works and capital projects up to £3.93m.

DIO also said it would announce winners for a further three further regional prime contracts for the Central, South East and South West of England next month.
